Week 52December 2017
This edition: Another year ends, summer holiday snaps, George Michael and a French75
It’s the end of the year. How did that happen… ? 2017 was an adventurous year – it felt like a year where the final shifts were being made from the turbulence of the previous years. I’m not a super believer in astrology – but someone posted on their Facebook page the other day that we’ve had a ruling planet of chaos for the past few years but now the shift is being made into a calmer more harmonious planet (I can’t remember what planets they were!).. but I certainly hope this is true. The last few years have been nuts. And I can feel a shift to a calmer state of mind. Maybe its all in my head. But if I will it – then maybe it will be so.
My New Years Eve resolution ? Well, I don’t normally make resolutions – but maybe this year it is to blog a bit more consistently and learn some more about how to master Social Media. Let’s see if I can make it work. What is your New Years Resolution for 2018?
Merry Christmas all
.. and a Happy New Year!

It was the 1st anniversary of George's death on boxing day. RIP George.
I watched the documentary on his life the other day and found it both heart-breaking and extraordinarily interesting. He was an amazing man.
Anyway - this song & the music video has always been one of my favourites. It feels like a nice way to end the year.
Freedom baby.

- I adore this font
- Check out this amazing print that I used for a project the other day/span> – it’s in the Public Domain and isn’t it gorgeous! It was created by Karl Friedrich Schinkel for the opening night of The Magic Flute opera in 1847.
- I love these type of recreations of famous art.So clever!
- Who doesn’t love Fireworks?!
- I’m having a real (yes, it’s real!) love affair with Moschino at the moment.
- I’ve just started reading this book

Summer Holidays
'Tis the Season..
I stumbled across this cocktail recipe the other day and i’ve adopted it as my NYE cocktail of choice. The recipe seems simple enough.. you just need to prepare the sugar syrup and lemon juice beforehand and then on the night – shake the gin, syrup & juice in a cocktail shaker with some ice to chill – then pour into a champagne glass and top with your favourite bubbles.
Looks deadly but delicious!
French 75 – cocktail.
1 ounce gin
1/2 ounce of sugar syrup
1/2 ounce of lemon juice
3 ounce of sparkling wine
Anything's possible if you've got enough nerve.
